consider love

When I came to the university armed with a below mediocre math grade in high school, it was a stuggle for me. Up until today, I still can't believe how I managed to graduate with an engineering degree. It was just a day to day encouragement from my parents - they believed.
On the other hand my 2nd grade teacher critiqued my art project and told me face blank I have no artistic talent in me. I stopped the art pursuit and I'll never experience if art is something that can be developed in a child - many believed.
It was in these lines of thought that Paul was writing in 1Cor:10 that the final arbiter must be considerate love and not knowledge or liberty.

The great carpenter is coming with a litmus
yard stick to judge according to celestial
measuring standards.
Who am I to think sublime and use the metric
table?

1 Cor. 3:11 "For no other foundation can anyone lay than
that which is laid, which is Jesus Christ".

plug it in, plug it in

Electricity conducts with the same molecular valence-
ie. metal to metal or metal to water. In the same manner
spiritual things speaks to the spirit, carnal conducts to
carnal. - 'need to plug in to the Source.

Have Your way in me.
More of You and less of me.

It was the most cherished christmas gift I had
when I was six - a toy propeller plane.
It only lasted for a couple of days until my
friend shattered it into pieces when he threw
it from the second floor of our house.
I was traumatized not because of was my friend did
but to what kind of spanking will I get from my dad.
I came down the house, I saw my dad picking up the
broken pieces. He held my face with his big hands,
looked me in the eye and said "it's ok son".

Do you see what I see?

Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past.
See I am doing a new thing!
Now it springs up; do you not perceive it?
I am making a way in the desert and streams
in the wasteland. Is 43 18,19

While driving a U-haul truck, I had this feeling
of inadequacy since this truck has no rear view mirror
in fact it doesn't really have a rear view at all!
But when I got the hang of it, it's not bad at all, it's
actually even better not seeing who's "tailgate-harassing"
you and getting blind sighted by those high
beamed cars behind you.

I can actually see the road again!
